Body Glide
A brand name synonymous with anti-chafing balm, used to prevent friction burns and blisters.
What is Body Glide?
Body Glide is a brand name that has become the generic term for any anti-chafing stick (like Kleenex for tissues). It looks like a deodorant stick but applies a non-greasy, invisible lubricant to the skin.
Where to Apply?
Anywhere skin rubs against skin or clothing:
- Inner Thighs: To prevent the dreaded "chub rub."
- Nipples: Crucial for men on long runs (bloody nipples are real).
- Underarms: Where the seam of your shirt hits.
- Feet: Between toes or on heels to prevent blisters.
- Bra Line: Under the band of a sports bra.
The Rule
"Lube before you lube." Apply it before you start running. Once the skin is raw, it's too late.
