Flat Lay
A carefully arranged photo of all race day gear spread out on a flat surface, usually taken the night before a race.
The Flat Lay Ritual
The Flat Lay serves two purposes:
- Social Media: It looks cool and signals "I am racing tomorrow."
- Checklist: It ensures you haven't forgotten anything (shoes, socks, bib, gels, watch, hat).
Essential Elements
- The Bib (center stage).
- The Shoes (clean if possible).
- The Outfit (singlet/shorts).
- Nutrition (gels laid out in a row).
- Electronics (watch, headphones).
