Crew
A support team that assists a runner during an ultra-marathon or major race, providing supplies and motivation.
What is a Crew?
In ultra-running (and some road marathons), a Crew is your pit stop team. They drive to designated meeting points to:
- Refill your bottles and swap your gear.
- Feed you (and force you to eat when you don't want to).
- Pop your blisters.
- Tell you that you look great (even when you look like death).
Crew Life
Crewing is exhausting work. It involves driving on back roads, waiting for hours, and dealing with a grumpy, delirious runner. It's an act of love.
