Shakeout Run
A short, very easy run (15-20 mins) done the day before a race to keep legs loose and calm nerves.
The Shakeout
The Shakeout Run is about blood flow and psychology. It's too short to tire you out, but long enough to:
- Check your gear (shoes tied right?).
- Calm your pre-race jitters.
- Keep your legs from feeling "stale" or stiff after a travel day.
Duration
Usually 15 to 20 minutes, at a pace so slow you could drink a coffee while doing it.
