PR (Personal Record)
Another term for Personal Best (PB), representing a runner's fastest time for a given distance.
What is a PR?
PR stands for Personal Record. In the United States and some other regions, this is the preferred term, while PB (Personal Best) is more common in the UK and internationally.
They mean exactly the same thing: the fastest you have ever run a specific race distance.
Why it Matters
A PR is the ultimate measurement of progress. Regardless of where you finish in the overall pack, beating your own PR is a victory against yourself.
