Even Splits
Running the first and second halves of a race in approximately the same amount of time.
The Art of Even Splits
Running Even Splits is a sign of perfect pacing mastery. It means you distributed your energy evenly throughout the race. For a 4-hour marathon, that's a 2:00 first half and a 2:00 second half.
Difficulty
It sounds simple, but it's incredibly hard. Adrenaline makes you run fast early, and fatigue makes you slow down late. Hitting even splits requires discipline and grit.
