Drafting
Running closely behind another runner to reduce wind resistance and save energy.
The Physics of Drafting
Just like in cycling or NASCAR, Drafting works in running. By tucking in behind someone, you reduce the aerodynamic drag you have to overcome. On a windy day, this can save significant energy.
Etiquette
It's smart racing, but if you sit on someone's heels for 10 miles and then sprint past them at the finish, don't expect them to buy you a beer.
